The Psychology Undergraduate Program
With 50 full-time faculty members, the Department of Psychology offers students a broad selection of courses and opportunities for research, internships, and fieldwork. The internationally recognized faculty publish in all areas of basic and applied psychology. Their research is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Mental Health, the National Science Foundation, and other public and private foundations. There is ample opportunity for undergraduate student participation in the more than 40 laboratories run by the faculty.
The department offices and laboratories are located in Tillett Hall (Livingston campus) and the Psychology Building (Busch campus).

Psych Alliance Faculty Advisor: Professor Edward Selby
This organization is for anyone interested in psychology. It consists of members of The Psych Society and Psi Chi (International Honors Society in Psychology), New Brunswick Chapter. The Psych Alliance sponsors events each semester ranging from guest speakers in various fields of psychology, a graduate student panel, information sessions on research opportunities or possible options for a career in psychology, volunteer drives, "Big Sibling" mentoring program and much more. Current and prospective psychology majors/minors are encouraged to join! Psi Chi Honors Society applications due late November.

The Rutgers Psi Chi Chapter
Recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology. Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Undergraduate Applicant Requirements
- Overall GPA = 3.2+
- Psych GPA = 3.2+
- Completed 15 Psychology credits or have taken 9 Psychology credits with 6 enrolled this semester.
- Transfer credits are NOT included in the GPA calculation
Graduate Applicant Requirements
- Be accepted into and enrolled in a psychology or closely related graduate program
- Have completed at least 9 semester credit hours of graduate psychology courses in that program
- Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate courses including psychology courses

This organization is for anyone interested in neuroscience and the brain. It consists of members of Nu Rho Psi Club and Nu Rho Psi Beta in New Jersey (The Rutgers Chapter of the National Honors Society in Neuroscience). NuRhoPsi sponsors meetings, workshops, fundraisers and Brain Awareness Week events ranging from guest speakers in various fields of neuroscience, a journal club, activity and information sessions on neuroscience research opportunities, applying to graduate school, how to get involved in community outreach, and beyond. Membership gets students access to a diverse community of neuroscience-related researchers and peers. Nu Rho Psi also awards extramural travel grants to conferences and research awards from Nu Rho Psi Headquarters. Current and prospective majors/minors across a breadth of fields that touch on neuroscience are encouraged and welcome to join the Nu Rho Psi Club! Membership to the Club is open to all levels. Membership to the National Honors Society is by application or invitation, usually in the Junior or Senior year.
