The University of Pittsburgh’s Developmental Psychology Faculty invite applications from talented students interested in doctoral study. Our faculty anchor their work in multiple perspectives on development. We conduct cutting-edge research in motor, language, social, cognitive, and emotional development. Collaborative research and cross-disciplinary training are at the heart of our department. This includes our joint Clinical Developmental Program, as well as cross-training with the Applied Developmental Psychology Program in Pitt’s School of Education.

Graduate students are fully-funded. The department provides up to six years of funding for students in good standing, through a mix of University and Departmental fellowships, grants, and teaching support.

Yale Cognition & Development Lab 2018 Summer Internship

Applications for the Yale Cognition & Development Lab's 2018 summer research internship program are now available on our website (https://cogdevlab.yale.edu/).

Our annual summer internship provides the opportunity for highly motivated undergraduate students to gain an intensive, hands-on research experience in close partnership with our full-time lab members. Opportunities are available both to study developmental psychology and adult cognition. Interns might also run studies on, and work to further develop, our online platform TheChildLab.com.

2nd Annual University of Delaware Undergraduate Workshop in Cognitive and Brain Sciences

Are you an undergraduate interested in learning more about cognitive and brain sciences? If so, the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Delaware is holding its 2nd Annual Summer Workshop in Cognitive and Brain Sciences from June 4th-15th, 2018. This program is an intensive workshop for undergraduates who are interested in cognitive research. Participants will engage in immersive training in cognitive and brain sciences, which includes both formal coursework, interactive teaching, and hands-on experience with functional neuroimaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, cognitive neuropsychological research, and more. This program is open to permanent residents and citizens of the United States.

Thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation, travel, tuition, room and board will be provided for the entire two-week program. Furthermore, selected workshop attendees will have the opportunity to engage in cognitive neuroscience research over the entire summer at the University of Delaware. Those students will be provided with a stipend, in addition to workshop expenses.

We encourage all undergraduates with a strong interest in the cognitive and brain sciences to apply. We also encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
