"Looking for a meaningful service experience this semester? Sign up to volunteer with A2E and make a real impact in the New Brunswick community as you work with underprivileged first, second and third graders on homework, reading, STEM activities, and more! The program runs Mondays - Thursdays from 3:15 - 5:15pm at Roosevelt Elementary School, just off George Street. U.S. PIRG FELLOWSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION
Special interest groups spend billions of dollars to influence these decisions. Someone needs to speak for the public interest. As a U.S. PIRG Fellow, that’s what you’ll do. You’ll be out in the real world, working on everything from reducing the overuse of antibiotics in the food industry to defending consumer protections on Wall Street. You’ll be recruiting new groups to join a coalition, speaking in a church basement or town hall to win a new endorsement, organizing a news event or rally, meeting with an editorial board, or doing whatever else it takes to get results.
This is a two-year program, expressly designed to prepare future leaders with U.S. PIRG. We look for smarts, leadership experience, top-notch written and verbal skills, and an eagerness to learn. We value experience organizing, including building campus groups. The target annual compensation for this position is $26,500 in the first year. U.S. PIRG offers a competitive benefits package. University of Nebraska Summer Research Program offers students an excellent opportunity to hone research skills and to experience life as a graduate student at a Big Ten university. Students will enhance their academic resume, work closely with faculty and peers, and have fun with social and professional development activities, all while receiving numerous benefits.
Students historically underrepresented in graduate education are encouraged to apply; however, due to funding restrictions, participation is limited to U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents (those holding a green card.)
We are committed to quality mentoring and research projects and limit our summer offerings to active research labs and projects led by faculty who have established themselves as excellent undergraduate student mentors.
Our online application makes it easy for students to apply for up to three different research groups. Priority review of applications begins Thursday, February 1and all applications are due by Thursday, March 1.
The Harvard Lab for Developmental Studies invites undergraduate students and graduating seniors to apply for our 2018 summer internship program. Current research projects focus on causality, kind representations, executive function and conceptual change, the development and acquisition of language, and the relationship between syntactic and semantic representations of language.
The internship will start on 6/11/2018 and run through 8/17/2018. This full time internship position is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience with psychology research. A stipend of $1500 may be awarded for a full time commitment, but applicants are encouraged to apply for funding from external sources.
