Professionals supporting students who need additional practice with student success skills in small groups or one-on-one settings.
Description
The Tier 2 Coach Support Lab for Students Program allows students to earn a specialty certificate. This program will deepen your understanding of Student Success Skills, pedagogy and practice by learning how to teach your students specific SEL skills in a one-on-one setting.

Tier 2 Coach Support Lab (500) |
The first course/program is a one course 15 week program that will take participants through the foundations and practicum (start-up, and facilitation of initiating and implementing your Tier 2 Coach Support Lab). This course has been constructed to take approximately 10-15 hours to complete, yielding 2 professional development credit or continuing education unit (2 CEU). |

Tier 2 Coach Support Lab Practicum (502) |
This course is a 7 week course that will allow participants to start up their lab and begin working with students under the mentorship of our trained and experienced SEL Lab instructors (1 CEU). Participants must successfully complete Tier 2 Coach Support Lab 1 before they can register for Tier 2 Coach Support Lab 2. |

Eligibility
To enroll, participants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s or associate degree (or higher), OR be a college student with 60+ credits completed
- Work directly with students (in schools, after-school, or higher education settings)
- Complete courses sequentially (301 → 302 or 501 → 502)
- For the Practicum (302 & 502): be employed in a setting where weekly lessons can be implemented and submit a support letter from a supervisor or administrator

- Flexible module completion due dates + live discussions
- Sequential course structure (Instruction → Practicum)
- Passing requires 85% or higher on assignments and active participation
- Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for each course
