Faculty Profile

I earned my Ph.D. in neuroscience from Arizona State University in 2024. My dissertation used electrophysiological, molecular, behavioral, and genetic techniques to investigate how social insects such as ants and termites use chemicals to communicate and recognize members of the same colony. There are numerous subjects that I love to talk about and teach on – some of those include: neuroscience, sensation and perception, cognition, biology, entomology, drugs and behavior, physiology, and psychology. I teach Learning Processes and Behavioral Pharmacology. My goal with a course is that students walk away with skills in critical analysis and a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
