Dr. Pernille Hemmer has been named a Mercator Fellow for the FOR 2812 Research Consortium at Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany. The Consortium is funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), which is the equivalent of NSF.

The research theme for the Consortium is "Constructing scenarios of the past: A new framework in episodic memory". https://www.ini.rub.de/news/for_2812_-_constructing_scenarios_of_the_past_a_new_framework_in_episodic_memory/ In addition to performing the research described above, Dr. Hemmer will also contribute to the supervision of students and postdocs of the research unit, joint publications, editing of special issues, and/or joint organization of conferences. This is a great opportunity and honor for Dr. Hemmer.

The Mercator Fellowship is an international research fellowship that seeks to enable intensive, long-term project-based collaboration between researchers from German and foreign (i.e., non-German) institutions.
