The Diversity and Climate Committee, in collaboration with program officials from the National Institute on Drug Abuse at the National Institutes of Health, have set up a workshop to provide information on NIH training grants with an emphasis on diversity training grants and opportunities.
Training grants primarily include F-series applications for graduate students and early-career postdoctoral fellows, as well as K-series awards available to senior postdoctoral fellows. In addition, faculty of all levels are encouraged to attend along with their students so that they might learn more about diversity supplements for their existing or future NIH grants.
The workshop Will be held on Monday, May 24th, 2021 from 2:30-4:30 PM. The first portion of the workshop will provide an overview of the NIH's interest in diversity, teach attendees about finding and reading funding announcements, and discuss some of the training and diversity training opportunities that exist. The second portion of the workshop will provide attendees the opportunity to enter career-level-specific breakout rooms in order to discuss F-level awards, K-level awards, and diversity supplements.
