Rebecca Price, a graduate student in the Clinical Ph.D. program working with Jan Mohlman, has been awarded a Predoctoral National Research Service Award for her study entitled, "Behavioral and fMRI Correlates of Late Life Generalized Anxiety Disorder". She is also the winner of the 2007-08 Psi Chi/APA Edwin B. Newman Graduate Research Award for her study entitled, "Inhibitory control and symptom severity in late life generalized anxiety disorder."

Efstathios Papachristos has won a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to do postdoctoral work in the neurogenetics laboratory of Ype Elgersma at the Erasmus Medical College in Rotterdam. Stathis is a Cognitive student of Dr. Randy Gallistel and will complete his degree this year.
Diana T. Sanchez and Judy Stern, each obtained a grant through the University Research Council program.
Vivian Hsu received a Dissertation Award from the International Society of Developmental Psychobiology. Vivian was a Behavioral Neuroscience student of Dr. Carolyn Rovee-Collier, receiving her degree in 2007.
Dan Ogilvie has received this year's Henry Murray Award. It is an award for distinguished contributions to the study of individuals lives and whole persons. The Award, established in 1978, is made annually to recognize and encourage those working in the demanding and difficult tradition pioneered by Professor Murray. The awardee receives $1,000 and is asked to present a Murray Award address at the meeting of the American Psychological Association the following year.
Jan Mohlman was awarded a Center for Clinical & Translational Sciences (CCTS) Research Grant from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for her ongoing research entitled, “GAD Across the Lifespan: Linking Current Theory to Prefrontal and Executive Functions.”
Jan Mohlman was awarded a Rutgers Research Council Grant for her project entitled, “Conquering Test Anxiety: A Program to Benefit Rutgers Students.”
Richard K. Lore, 73, Prof. Emeritus of Psychology at Rutgers University, died at his home in New Bern, NC on May 18, 2007. Prof. Lore, the author of 90 papers and reviews, was a recognized authority on aggression and behavior of rats in the wild. A popular teacher and mentor, he received the Rutgers University Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1986. His warm, outgoing nature, attracted devoted friends in all walks of life.
In April 2007, Manish Singh was awarded a Board of Trustees Research Fellowship for Scholarly Excellence as one of the university's most distinguished young faculty members.
Maurice J. Elias, was awarded the Ernest E. McMahon Class of 1930 Award
In March 2007, Rochel Gelman received the Distinguished Scientific Contributions to Child Development Award from the Society for Research in Child Development. This award recognizes outstanding scientific contributions to the understanding of children's development.
In March 2007, Howard Leventhal received the Distinguished Biobehavioral Oncology Award from the Cancer Special Interest Group of the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
